FTRI offers a variety of amplified telephones to meet the need of persons with a mild, moderate, or severe hearing loss. These amplified telephones are available at Self-Reliance. (FTRI) is a statewide non profit 501(c)3 organization that administers the Specialized Telecommunications Equipment Distribution Program for citizens of Florida who are Deaf, Hard of Hearing, Deaf/Blind and Speech Disabled. FTRI is also responsible for the education and promotion of the Florida Relay Service.
To qualify for a FREE special phone, you must be:
1. A permanent Florida resident
2. At least 3 years old
3. Certified as having a hearing loss or speech impairment

Resources for Advocacy and Youth Services
RAYS is a training program for Deaf and Hard of Hearing young adults transitioning from school or college into the community. The program covers the areas of employment, education, the Americans with Disabilities Act, self-advocacy, budgeting, and well-being.
